We are now offering over 200 titles at the UCO and since the last Newsletter, have considerably widened the choice offered.
Several books have new editions - these include ``Learning GNU emacs'',``imake'', ``GNU emacs'' by Stallman and ``Programming Perl''. We also have the new version of the Metcalf & Reid book on Fortran 90/95.
Due to the interest in Windows NT, there are new books from Microsoft Press, the ``resource kit'' for both Server and Workstation, as well as step by step guides for workstation (all version 4). In the near future a new book from McGraw Hill, ``Windows NT The Complete Reference'' will be in stock. We also have ``Windows NT for Open VMS professionals''. For French speakers we have a book in French on NT.
The Mathematica book from Wolfram for Version 3 is i in stock and there is a further publication on order from Cambridge University Press.
The Java Source series from Addison Wesley now has four new editions: ``The Java Class Libraries'', ``The Java Virtual Machine Specification'', ``The Java Language Specification'', ``Java Tutorial''.
Due to user requests we have bought Linux books from O'Reilly. There is a double CD-ROM with Red Hat Linux, a book on ``Running Linux'' and a system administrator's guide.
Again for specialised users we have a book on Labview. It comes highly recommended and is a Prentice Hall Book: ``LabView for everyone''.
We will be pleased to hear from users who have information on new books or suggestions for new titles.
