Miguel Marquina and Raúl Ramos Pollán IT/User Support
This year we have continued with the Tutorial Programme organized by IT Division, an activity which seems to be well appreciated from the level of participation. The tutorials are organized as a joint effort of different services and individuals as well as spanning across Divisions. The teachers, who participate on a goodwill basis, invest a significant amount of time in the preparation of the tutorials. But all this pays off immediately when we see you coming along to invest a couple of hours learning with us. We wish to thank through these pages all those who are making the Tutorial Programme possible.
We are (logically enough) observing the attendance at the tutorials in order to profile better the preferences of the participants. Our statistics show clearly some trends regarding the type of courses in which CERN users are interested; and it is in this spirit that we hope to satisfy forthcoming needs with the programme we are preparing for the second half of this year.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of topics planned until the end of 1998:
Obviously the only way to ensure that the programme suits your needs is to send us your personal feedback. We encourage you to do so by filling in the user questionnaire linked at the above page, and we will certainly take your opinions into account when planning further tutorials.
