\begin{memo}
Dear Colleague,
You are kindly invited to attend the course ``\LaTeX\ for Beginners''
which starts next Monday, November 5th 2999.
The aim of the course is to teach the participants (i.e. YOU) to help
yourself if you have problems and to know where to look.
Users can bring specific applications to class to discuss their
problem(s).
The course itself will be structured (approximately) as follows:
\begin{itemize}
\item {\bf Day 1} General introduction, principles of use, simple texts.
\item {\bf Day 2} \LaTeX\ environments.
\item {\bf Day 3} Constructing tables.
\item {\bf Day 4} Mathematics.
\item {\bf Day 5} CERN specific developments and advanced features.
\end{itemize}
The tutorial will be mainly practical and a printer will be available in
the classroom. Students can bring their own documents to work on
if they so desire.
I hope you will be able to attend and look forward to meeting you
next Monday.
